Yeah the story was really incredible I mean leave it to the Coens to find the best stories and turn them into art. Oscar Isaac gave one of the better performances of the year in my opinion because you could truly feel the sadness through his eyes. If the movie had been released last year or any other year that wasn’t so competitive, it would have been nominated for everything
Wow actually I had never even thought of it like that. That is so depressing because that makes too much sense. I can almost see the Academy saying “I don’t see a lot of money here.”
Thanks! Hopefully the awards go where they should this year because some of the movies nominated like 12 Years a Slave and Gravity are some of the best movies of the past decade, so this awards season is one that the Academy cannot fuck up. I haven’t seen either The Wind Rises or Frozen yet but I plan to asap, so I’m just wanting Miyazaki to go out strong. The fact that Inside Llewyn Davis was nominated so few this year should have been a crime honestly. Hopefully everything will go right tonight.
Who I think is going to win will be bolded, Who I personally think should win will be italicized,
Who I think should have been there will be crossed out
